Louis J. Salerno began his career as an Assistant Attorney General in Columbus, Ohio litigating civil rights cases in US District Court and the Sixth Circuit. Mr. Salerno then entered private practice in Washington DC where he developed his practice in civil and criminal litigation, international export trade compliance, transactional corporate and government contracts and employment law developing an expertise in training, investigations (criminal and civil), EEO policy, human resources, counseling, mediation and dispute resolution.. He is an experienced in-house attorney who has held the position of General Counsel to large private corporations.
Currently, Mr. Salerno offers an array of individual and corporate services including corporate formation and board governance, drafting contractual arrangements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Independent Vendor Contractor Arrangements, joint venture / teaming agreements Master Service Agreements, licensing agreements; due diligence, government contracting matters involving FAR, DFAR compliance, privacy, data security, business continuity planning and dispute resolution.
Mr. Salerno represents clients in both civil and criminal court, family and matrimonial matters, real estate transactions, and has advised not for profit organizations for many years.
